Building clinical skills through guided practice
My teaching spans physical examination across body systems, practical procedures, structured history taking and communication with patients.
Through demonstration, supervised practice and feedback, I help students develop examination technique and confidence in performing clinical skills.
I teach MD Years 3–4, Graduate Entry MD Years 1–2, and HDPCS Years 2–3.

I create and organise objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs), develop digital assessment checklists, and contribute to standardisation and examiner calibration.

I teach First Aid skills and hold an international First Aid Trainer of Trainers qualification, awarded in November 2021 by the IFRC and Global First Aid Reference Centre.

I have delivered more than 50 BSS workshops over the years, typically around 9–12 in most years.

EEG, cognitive load and clinical reasoning in immersive simulation.
My MHPE thesis examines how students reason through acute-abdomen simulations using the XR Body Simulator, bringing together EEG observations, NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) workload ratings and accounts of diagnostic reasoning.
The non-randomised, two-group study uses an analytical cohort of 42 participants, with attention to history-taking, abdominal palpation and diagnostic decision-making.

My contribution to the research
My work included configuring the simulation, conducting post-simulation interviews, reviewing EEG with an EEG technologist alongside synchronised video, preparing original EEG notes, organising coded observations, and analysing participant-level findings.

He is a very knowledgeable tutor who treats all students equally and ensures everyone understands the concept before the class ends. I enjoyed his class and learned a lot.
I appreciated that my instructor was approachable and genuinely invested in our learning. They explained complex topics in a clear and structured way, often using real-life clinical examples to help us understand and remember the material. Their enthusiasm for the subject made the sessions more engaging and motivating.
